Item Condition & Return Policy

Every piece at The Quoted Raven is carefully selected for its beauty, character, and decorative value. We take great care to note any significant flaws or damage in our descriptions and photographs. However, vintage and handcrafted items naturally carry the marks of their history—minor imperfections, gentle wear, and subtle patina that add to their unique character and charm.

While we strive to accurately represent each piece, small flaws consistent with age and use may not be individually documented. These characteristics are part of what makes each item special and authentic.

We want you to be happy with your purchase. We offer returns within 15 days of your receipt, no questions asked. Simply contact us to initiate a return—you cover return shipping, and we'll refund your full purchase price upon receiving the item back in its original condition.

By purchasing, you acknowledge that vintage and handcrafted items possess inherent variations and character marks that contribute to their beauty and story.

A compact artist-signed (1989) studio pottery bottle vase in wheel-thrown stoneware, fired in a wood or anagama-style kiln. The ovoid body tapers to a narrow neck with a rolled rim, characteristic of sake-bottle or tokkuri forms. Surface color shifts from a warm earth-brown at the neck and upper shoulder to a muted mauve-rose across the lower body, with scattered dark speckling and irregular amber flash marks near the foot—evidence of ash deposit and flame movement during firing. The foot ring shows natural unglazed clay. A strong example of the atmospheric firing tradition, unsigned but clearly the work of a skilled hand builder or thrower working in an East Asian-influenced aesthetic. Condition is good; no chips or cracks visible.
